ASHEVILLE, NC.; September 30, 2017 – The VA National Acquisition Center has awarded Global Language System LLC a five-year Blanket Purchase Agreement to provide American Sign Language Interpretation (ASL) Services to multiples employees that require ASL interpretation Services located at the VA National Acquisition Center.
Under this contract Global Language System LLC will furnish sign language and other communication services between people who are deaf or hard of hearing and people who hear to interpret and translate in a work or training environment in an office setting or classroom training environment. Global Language System will provide ASL, Simultaneous Interpretation Services by procuring certified ASL interpreters that participates and are certified by the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID) or National Association of the Deaf (NAD).
Global Language System LLC is standing ready to assist the Department of Veterans Affairs to accomplish the mission assigned to its Disability Program which is to address the low employment rate of individuals with disabilities, especially those with targeted disabilities such blindness, deafness, missing extremities, partial paralysis, total paralysis, epilepsy, severe intellectual disability, psychiatric disability, and dwarfism.
Global Language System’s professional American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreters will work closely with the National Acquisition Center (NAC)) throughout this contract to provide accurate and efficient ASL Interpretation services to its hearing-impaired employees in the workplace, classroom training environment or designated work space setting.
